  • Retirement

We look forward to retirement as a reward for a lifetime of hard work. Some of us will start new careers.
Others will go back to school. The one thing that we have in common is the fact that we all want to be financially independent. A realistic retirement strategy can make this a reality.

Why save for retirement?

Because people are living longer. According to the U.S. Administration on Aging, persons reaching age 65 have an average life expectancy of an additional 18.6 years. Since Social Security accounts for only 36 percent of total aggregate income for aged persons, Social Security alone may not be enough to see you through your retirement years.
